Course Description:
This virtual 4 hour class is perfect to prepare you for your first child, or serve as a great refresher if it’s been a while since your last. Topics include understanding your newborn (what is normal & their cues) and newborn care which includes bathing, diapering, swaddling, feeding options and more.
Who Is This Course For?
This class is recommended for expecting families to take in their third trimester. If this is your first baby, you will learn everything you need to know about baby care. This class also serves as a great refresher for second time parents if it’s been a while since you had your first!

Birth and Baby University
Anna Rodney is a committed life long learner and has spent her entire adult life in the field of education. After the birth of her first child in 2009 Anna became incredibly committed to learning as much as possible about birth and babies. She first became a labor and postpartum doula and childbirth educator and has continued to grow her knowledge base and accomplishments. Anna is a Newborn Care Specialist, Lactation Educator, Lamaze Instructor, Happiest Baby on the Block parent educator, a former Hypnobirth Instructor and Faculty for CAPPA. Anna trains Labor and Postpartum Doulas and Childbirth Educators through CAPPA. Her commitment to learning is only matched with her commitment to supporting and educating families on their incredible journey to parenthood. Anna supports families through her incredible classes and also as a doula agency owner. Through her agencies she has the privilege of talking with thousands of expecting and new parents. This opportunity has allowed her not only to connect with and share with families, but also learn from them. Prior to shifting her focus to expecting parents Anna was a Special Education teacher for over a decade. She has multiple degrees in Special Education and has her Masters Degree in education. She believes deeply in making learning palatable, fun and applicable. She creates her curriculum with her love for families and their experiences at the forefront of her mind. In each of these classes you will experience her deep knowledge and her incredible passion for all things birth and babies.
